Our Story

Sorgente Sant'Elena

A long held secret in Tuscany

but it is not as hard to get our water as it used to be.

Our mission is to share our water with the world, one bottle at a time.

The Legend and History

Elena, mother of Emperor Constantine, is said to have discovered the therapeutic properties of water while returning from one of her voyages. The story connects the Sant'Elena spring to a lineage of healing waters stretching back to the Byzantine Empire.

Discovery Tour

The total dissolved solids tell us the number of minerals in the water. Compared to other mineral waters that contain 250-800 mg/L, Sant'Elena falls perfectly into the medium-minerality range.

The presence of bicarbonate and sodium in Sant'Elena gives it its unique pH of 7.4, which makes it slightly alkaline and gives it a hint of sweet flavour. The alkaline pH, in addition to the presence of magnesium and calcium, helps to exert kidney stones by inhibiting their formation and creating a more alkaline environment.

Scientifically speaking, Sant'Elena is a hydrocarbonate-alkaline earth mineral water.
